Mr. Matin Asgar, from Baku Law Center, opened the meeting by welcoming participants and announced the agenda.
Then, he introduced guest speaker Mr. Henry Ordower, Professor of Law at Saint Louis University School of Law. After introducing himself, Mr. Ordower expressed his gratitude for warm hosting. The discussion was dedicated to equity/debt issues, tax and legal implications of raising capital by debt vs. public listing for growing businesses or startups. He also addressed issues relating to diversified portfolio, mutual funds, classification of shares, venture capital etc. He conducted an interactive session so participants could ask their questions relating to tax and legal implications.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Asger thanked everyone for participation.
