Within the framework of negotiations on the Association Agreement with the EU, Azerbaijan is the process of harmonization of the national legislation with the European Commission. Today in Baku head of the Foreign Investments Coordination & Assistance Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Sahil Babayev has said that until the end of 2012 there will be presented drafts of laws and standard & legal acts to harmonize economic legislation of Azerbaijan with the European Commission’s directives. "After their approval the process of unification will be completed," Babayev said. He also noted that harmonization of economic articles of the EU-Azerbaijan Association Agreement is under completion. "Negotiations on 14 articles from the economic block of the agreement have been completed and on 8 ones are under way. 3 articles have been agreed on the trading bloc and negotiations on 4 articles are being held," Babayev said.
