Changes were made in the Rules of granting permissions (consent) for advertising.
Under the amendments, advertising media list does not include now:
- Signs and guides of directions of activity at the entrances, walls and other parts of the buildings of trade, service, and other facilities;
- Bulletin board for consumers, regardless of their size;
- Non-commercial content of posters on city bulletin boards;
- Political advertising;
- Information boards of public institutions and of non-governmental organizations, businesses and individuals not engaged in commercial activities.
In parallel, it is prohibited placement of advertising media on pedestrian crossings, in places of getting in and off from bus by passengers, making it difficult their movement in places where such media spoil aesthetics sight. Advertisements without an image are also banned.
Ban was also imposed on placement of advertising media on the territory of historical and cultural monuments and their protection zones, in mosques and places of worship. Placement of advertisement on roofs of architectural monuments (buildings) is allowed only is permitted only from sanction of the Advertising & Information Supervision Council should not harm the conservation of the site.
