Forbes magazine announced the list of the best countries for business. Forbes relied on research and published reports of the following organizations: the Central Intelligence Agency, Freedom House, Heritage Foundation, Property Rights Alliance, Transparency International, World Bank and World Economic Forum.

Azerbaijan took 73^rd place among 141 countries. Russia ranked 105^th place, Moldova – 92^nd, Armenia – 77^th, Georgia – 50^th, Kazakhstan – 70^th, Estonia – 22^nd, Lithuania – 35^th, Latvia – 40^th.

The list was prepared on 11 different factors: property rights, innovation, taxes, technology, corruption, freedom (personal, trade and monetary), red tape, investor protection and stock market performance.

New Zealand tops the list. Denmark occupied 2^nd place. The third place was taken by Hong Kong. The top 10 is distributed between Canada, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Great Britain. The US ranked 12^th place in the list.
